Set on the banks of the Luangwa River, our camping area offers a front-row seat to the valley’s incredible wildlife, with elephants, giraffes, puku and warthogs often in view.
Grassy pitches under shady trees, this stretch of land is well known as one of the best views in the whole valley.
Because that’s the thing about this stretch of river: the wildlife doesn’t stop at the tree line. Lion tracks turn up meters from tents. Elephant are seen walking through camp on the footpath between the car park and the bar. Hippo’s are seen frequently on the banks of the river, easily viewed from where you swim in the pool.

This option is perfect for travelers seeking affordable, tranquil amenities and front-row views of the valley’s natural beauty.

Shared dorm-style rooms, simple and comfortable, right in the middle of the same wild stretch of river as the rest of the camp. Enjoy incredible wildlife views, unlike any hostel or shared-dorm experience elsewhere, with wildlife teeming out your back door. We offer flexible packages for day trips into the park, and we can arrange transit from town for those traveling without a car.
