Some nights, a roof just gets in the way. The Sleepout is a raised platform on stilts, open to the sky, with nothing between you and the stars but a mosquito net. No walls, no ceiling — just the valley doing what it does after dark, and more stars than you knew were up there.
It’s not roughing it, though. Below the platform sits a private bathroom and an eating area, so you climb the ladder to sleep and everything else is sorted for you at ground level. Part of the Lagoon Collection, and bookable as an add-on to any stay.
Your evening starts like any other — dinner under the trees, drinks by the fire. When you’re ready, you head up to the platform, already made up with proper bedding and tucked in behind mosquito netting for the night. Below, the bathroom and dining area stay exactly where they are, so there’s no compromise on comfort — just one very good reason to look up before you close your eyes.
Expect the real sounds of the bush after dark: hippos grumbling down at the water, the odd hyena somewhere off in the distance, and zero light pollution to get in the way of the sky. It’s a one-night addition to your stay, not a separate camp to book — ask about adding it whenever you book.
It’s the kind of night you’ll bring up for years. Ask us about adding the Sleepout to your stay.
